Having purchased a Droid X by Motorola from Verizon on August 26, 2010, the “nice young man” that sold me the phone said it would be on it’s way by FedEx shortly. What he failed to impart was that his version of shortly involved a wait of 15 days before Verizon will ship it, due to lack of product availability. I keep saying to myself, I should have gone for the iPhone

Source : Bloomberg By Matthew Campbell Huawei Technologies Co., China’s largest phone-equipment maker, is betting Google Inc. branding and smartphones targeting the lower end of the market will build its sales in Europe. Huawei’s unveiling yesterday of a 99 pound ($152) Google- branded smartphone will help the company grab market share in Europe, Tim Watkins, the company’s western Europe vice president, said in an interview in London.

As a new Android user I find rumours like these interesting but confusing. It seems to me that Google would be better off spending a bit of time enhancing their Android marketplace to make it properly useful. Using marketplace on my G1 is painful, not to say that using Apple’s app store on an iPhone is too much better, but at least you can access it via iTunes on the desktop which makes it workable, and the iPad version is fine to use as well, so perhaps marketplace on a tablet will work ok too

Just testing Blogger-droid from my new toy! I’ve been saying I was going to crossover to Android for a while now but none of the devices were what I wanted or what I was wAiting for until now lol No I haven’t left Blackberry and prob never will but like i’ve been saying, RIM needs a major WOW factor to really stay in this game
