This is something that can’t be fixed by bumper cases. Some Motorola Droid X owners are complaining that they are seeing issues with their huge LCD screens, including flickering and banding.
The complaints are coming into forums (1, 2, 3). It’s unclear how many have been affected by the issue, but at least Motorola hasn’t said it’s an industry-wide problem.
