Android 2.1 actually does IPv6!
May 30th
Wow, that's cool: Android 2.1 (on a HTC Desire) really, really does IPv6. Proof: visiting http://wattcher.015.info/check-ipv6-refresh.html results in this logging:
Details: the Android was connected to a Wifi-LAN offering IPv6 via Router Advertisement
HTC delays Hero update to June

HTC delays Hero update to June
The status of HTC’s Hero update to Android 2.1 is becoming a bit of a joke. Back in October, HTC told us it was working on a update for the HTC Hero that would take the version of Android that it runs to 2.0. That promise was upgraded to 2.1 early in 2010, and an update was promised by March.
March came and went with no update, and HTC told a user that it’d be arriving on 16 April. Once again, that date passed without a whisper, and we’ve now got confirmation from HTC that the update has been pushed back until June. The company told us in an email:
“HTC will be providing a free update to Éclair for European HTC Hero variants. Starting in June, anyone owning an HTC Hero will receive an initial preparatory update, shortly followed by the full Éclair update. For the full update, we would recommend using a free wi-fi hotspot or an unlimited data plan, otherwise standard data charges may apply”.
Maybe it’s just a strategy to get Hero owners so upset they buy a Desire instead? Pour out your rage in the comments below.

Android running on iPhone!
Apr 22nd
I’ve been working on this quietly in the background. Sorry about the initial video quality, but YouTube promises that the quality will get better as the video gets processed more. The back part of the version I uploaded to Vimeo was cut off.
I think that says it all, really. Donations via paypal to planetbeing at gmail.com. If you’d like to help, come join #iphonelinux on irc.osx86.hu.
Thanks to CPICH for reversing support, harmn1, posixnina, jean, marcan and saurik for patches, and last but not least, TheSeven for his work on the FTL.
Pre-built images and sources at http://www.mediafire.com/?xqjzn12igfn. Read the README. For generic openiboot instructions, there’s plenty now that you can search for.
It should be pretty simple to port forward to the iPhone 3G. The 3GS will take more work. Hopefully with all this groundwork laid out, we can make Android a real alternative or supplement for iPhone users. Maybe we can finally get Flash.

Today i have got update about Nexus One Sprint ; in above pic from AndroidCentral there is snapshot picture shows HTC Google Nexus One in Sprint CelleBrite system. If you never heard about CelleBrite before ; CelleBrite is a device for transfer information from your phone to another phone. Not just Nexus One if you look in picture carefully you can see HTC HD2 in CelleBrite too. This may be a sign that Sprint will get HTC HD2 to the States ; However we still can’t confirm a release date of Nexus One Sprint Version but i don’t think it will take so long.
HTC Tattoo to get Android 2.1

HTC Tattoo to get Android 2.1: ”
The HTC Tattoo, or we guess it’s “the little Android device that could” now, is getting Android 2.1. Yep, the same Tattoo that comes with a small 2.8-inch (320×240) resistive touchscreen and a past its prime 528MHz Qualcomm Processor, will run the version of Android that is the envy of every device. HTC says (translated):
“Kindly note that now we understand that a phone running Android OS 2.1 is available that you are excited to get an update for your Tattoo. We are still working hard to Sense for building this new version but we expect to have the upgrade finished and ready to go soon.”
The HTC Tattoo, known more for its customization than specs, is currently the only Android phone available on Vodafone UK. And though it’s just a low-end device, it’s going to run Android 2.1 and HTC Sense. Not bad on paper. Not bad at all. [frandroid]
