TIME ZONE TRAVEL with the Motorola Droid

If you travel with your Motorola Droid, be sure and enter all appointments properly for the particular time zone. If you are in Utah and enter a noon lunch meeting for NYC, make sure you enter it for 1000 hours so when you get there, the time shift of two hours will put your lunch at noon where it was supposed to be.

Google can shift times for you but it can’t guess “what you really meant.”

In a creative piece that would be just about equivocal to Exxon running an ad saying “Hey we didn’t spill the oil this time” Motorola ran a full page ad to promote the Motorola Droid X (exclusively carried on Verizon) touting “No Jacket Required”. This great piece of advertising collateral speaks directly to the Iphone 4 and it’s “Antennagate” problems.

Android users don’t dislike their devices quite as much as previous (and inaccurate) reports indicated, apparently. On Monday, the Yankee Group made sure to correct CNN Money’s interpretation of its data. In fact, the earlier CNN Money story said that while 77 percent of iPhone owners said they would buy another iPhone, only 20 percent of Android customers said the same about another Android phone
